Nursing Recruitment

As one of the largest Trusts in the country we are always looking for good quality staff, please register on the site for regular updates on our vacancies.

Nursing Recruitment

As a large employer we are regularly recruiting for a number of nursing roles, from Apprentices at Band 1 (these posts will train you to become clinical support workers; which are roles that support the registered nurses in the ward and department teams - please see our other pages for me details on these roles).

We employ registered nursing from Band 5 up to highly specialised roles. We have over 4,000 registered nurses and midwives within the Trust.

By registering with this site you can receive emails when vacancies which are of interest to you come up.

Within nursing across the Trust staff are supported through appraisal and also a wide range of development and training sessions.

We are working hard to work with our staff to engage them in developing our values and behaviours - The Leeds Way.

We run regular open days for registered nursing and midwifery people to attend where you can see what services we provide. We often interview on the day and let people know there and then if they have been successful.

The open days can be general recruitment events, or they may focus on specific areas, such as midwifery, theatres or those about to leave university as new graduates.

We maintain a programme of open days and we add these to this page on a regular basis.

Current News

Look out for the Leeds stand at the forthcoming recruitment fairs - we often run stands in collaboration with other NHS organisations in Leeds so feel free to drop in and find out more about the services in the city and all our opportunities.

We are now planning our own recruitment open days which people are welcome to attend to find out more and be interviewed on the day.

The best way to find out more details about these events is to register with this site and you will receive regular emails tailored to your interests.

Nursing Recruitment Advertising

For many posts we advertise by role, not by specific area of work. If you are invited to an interview you will have the opportunity to discuss areas you are particularly interested in. We then work with you to match your preferences to our vacancies across all sites.

We advertise all available nursing roles on the NHS Jobs website, also available through the Careers Search on this site, where we also give you a named person to contact should you wish to arrange a visit to our hospitals to have a look around and find out more about career opportunities with Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

We are currently advertising for a range of band 5 nursing posts in Paediatrics, Endoscopy, Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery, Critical Care, General Acute and Haematology.

We also have vacancies at bands 6 and 7 across a range of specialties, including Clinical Nurse Specialist and Research posts.

In collaboration with our partners in Leeds we currently have an advert and video running on The Guardian website, look for the page - Choose to work in Leeds and help to create the next generation of health services, in the Leeds Inspiring Change partner zone.
